Feeling blue is an idiom which means feeling unwell, and it is usually associated with unhappiness and depression. In this case however, feeling blue has all to do with the color itself.
I am not particularly a fan of the color blue, when I have the chance I will wear pink, or hints of pink, like red, aubergine, purple, fuchsia, salmon and all that goes between them.
I would do that with yellow as well, but that is a color not suitable for myself, it does not fit me.
