One of my favorite SL sim builders is Marcus Inkpen whose amazing Utopia 4 build remains a standout for me – though it’s long gone. He’s also the genius behind the stunning Looking Glass sim.
I was thrilled to learn that he has a new sim installation called The Returning. This is one on of the Linden Endowment for the Arts sims. Prepare to be amazed as you look at the pictures from the Flickr group for the sim. I must thank Ryker Beck for sharing a picture of the sim on her plurk – or I might not have known about it.
In honor of the build, I put together an outfit that felt right for the location. I wore Sakide’s oh-so-versatile Ribbed Shirt with Sn@tch’s fabulous corset for the faMESHed July showcase. Those pieces together create the feeling of pre-Enlightenment Europe but then I added the Forest skirt from So Many Styles and left ancient history far behind.
Who’re you calling wench? The twig necklace from Balderdash seemed a nice complement to the skirt and the Gloria earrings from Lucas Lameth tied in well. The Demeter hair from Lelutka with its headband and rose seem to fit nicely in whatever century you want to choose.
The skin is from Baiastice – and finishes off the look beautifully, I think.
