It had been easier than he expected, adjusting to life in the cramped spaces in the city. Having spent months upon months cooped up in the stale air of a communal bunker just before the safehaven opened its gates, he’d expected to want wide open spaces, to throw himself out of the bunker doors and not want to be behind four walls again for days and days.
